I found her playing РІР‚СљpretendРІР‚Сњ with Periwinkle on the dining room table as I prepared dinner. My toddler doesnРІР‚в„ўt have a lot of these types of dolls and I didnРІР‚в„ўt think this would appeal to her but it actually did. I had to hide this toy because I was afraid she would fly into my infant, but we allow my toddler to play with it when she is supervised and we always remind her to hold Periwinkle AWAY from her face and body.Р”Р„nd the Periwinkle toy is great for pretend play. With a quick tug of the cord, Periwinkle soars in the air. They are perfect for a toddlerРІР‚в„ўs frame, they stay in place, they are comfortable, and best of all- they light up! Check them out:

She has about 6 pairs of fairy wings and not one of them fit as well as these. I think the wings would have been her first choice, but the little buggar knew she was going to end up with all three! My favorite is the wings, and I will tell you why: They fit her perfectly. Her first choice was Sky High Periwinkle, her second choice was the Periwinkle doll, and her third choice was the wings. Out of curiosity, I wanted to see which toy would appeal to my tot the most, so initially, I told her to choose just one toy. My toddler already had a Sky High Tinker Bell toy that she loved, but now that she has Periwinkle, her set is complete! She loves playing with them together and says, РІР‚СљthatРІР‚в„ўs how sisters should be!РІР‚Сњ (Just melts my heart!)

JAKKS Pacific has come out with a new line of toys inspired by the movie which includes some fun toys such as Sky High Periwinkle, a Periwinkle Doll, and magical wings that light up and change colors just as they do in the movie. We received it last week as a special sneak-peek review and we have watched it everyday, and on some rainy days even TWICE a day! I generally donРІР‚в„ўt let my toddler watch that much television a day, but I thought this was a great movie and I actually donРІР‚в„ўt mind watching it myself! My toddler has made a few statements that really showed me that she related the movie to the real life relationship between her and her sister, which makes Secret of the Wings even more special to us. It is no wonder that the latest Disney Fairies movie: Secret of the Wings is now my totРІР‚в„ўs favorite movie. She has an amazing bond with her little sister and even though sheРІР‚в„ўs only 5 months, they love giggling and playing together. Something special happened this past spring: my toddler became a big sister.
